Not that it was bad, but the accel deep was noticeably better.

Sep 13, 2011 · i have a john deere 2009 x540 lawn tractor with a 54 inch edge cut deck. I may be upgrading to a 2011 x540 and i'm wondering if my 2009 deck will fit up properly. Does any body have any insight on the configuration? If you have roughly 5 acres, my recommendation would be x500 series, or if you want to stay in the x300 series, then x380 or x390 with 54” mower deck. X350 with the kawasaki engine is a better play. Engine is leagues better than the briggs. The x320 is no longer made. The new x330 has a briggs while the x350 has the kawasaki. Look up your model to see what sizes it could handle. Is the engine horsepower the same on the 48 and 54? If it is and the deck mounts line up it should be fine. Does anyone know if the 54 edge xtra deck will fit a gx345?
